All right, let me get this back on topic.

Elaborate on feathering, please?

And cambering is shaving more from the outer edge to provide more than suspension adjustment allows, I'm guessing?

Feathering is when you were to lazy to rotate the tires or your suspension sucks causing the tire to wear "feathered".
Once it gets really bad the tires sound like Monster Mudders on the Highway.

All tires are shaved on a rim at pressure, this allows the tire to be true to the axis we don't use an "inflatable rim".

I'll have to keep this in mind...if I ever go out on my snow tires...and the flat spot from the end of last season gets too annoying.
